We found that the reproduction beds on the market were not what we wanted on our own trucks.
They are covered in spot welds that take 20-30 hours of bodywork to smooth out. The stamped stake pockets on the outside of the bed are ripply, requiring more bodywork.
Most manufacturers were using plain steel which was rusty by the time it was shipped.
So we set out to make a bed that solved all of these problems.
These beds are the best value, the least trouble to install and the best looking Street Rod beds on the market.
- Fabricated from 16 gauge, satin coated steel (similar to galvanized)
- Plug welded construction (no spot welds to smooth out)
- Epoxy primed (so you can block sand and paint)
- Assembly time: approximately 4-6 hours
Bed sides, fronts and other pieces are available separately - these panels are designed to work as replacement panels on our beds only - please ask for details.
Teardrops or Bed Roll Lite’z are available to dress up the bed roll.
Custom sizes and designs are available.
Beds include two sides, front panel, and all cross members.
Tailgates and stake pockets are sold separately.
As you can see the rear cross member has been modified to use with a wood kit instead of the original steel floor. The rear cross member has a step to allow the wood to stay below the tailgate opening. This keeps items from hitting the wood and damaging your custom bed.
